Philadelphia Eagles Stadium Goes Green(er)

We covered the story of the New York Jets going green a while back.  They placed a massive solar array on their roof this summer.

Not to be outdone, the Philadelphia Eagles have plans to make their stadium completely energy self-sufficient.  How are they going to do that?  With some cutting edge renewable energy tools:
  • Vertical wind turbines lining the top of the stadium
  • Solar panels covering nearly every angled surface
  • Biodiesel generators to make the remaining power needed
It seems a little farfetched, but gradually NFL owners (once known only for fur coats and private jets) are getting into the green game.  Looks like the Jets and Eagles are earning those jersey colors.
