Solar/wind power might just be the perfect answer to the energy crisis. It is not always reasonable to rely solely on solar power or wind power alone. After all, the sun can only shine down on photovoltaic panels during the daylight hours, and the wind does not constantly blow. And yes, excess energy created by the sun or wind can be stored in battery banks and can thereby be used at night or on still days, but is this really the best method?

Solar/wind power, on the other hand, combines the benefits of both solar and wind energy. While a battery bank should still be used to store excess energy, it is not as necessary to have a back-up generator or to remain on-the-grid to ensure that you have power all the time, any time.

The wind blows when the sun does not shine, and vice versa. Solar/wind power can be generated at all different times of the day or night, regardless of the weather. By combining these two alternative forms of energy, it is possible to completely eliminate your need for another source of energy.
